Math: Place Value: ordering numbers, numbers between, creating organized lists of numbers, true/false statements about place value, and...assessment!

Math:
Place Value through the hundred thousands place. Kids have been learning how to read numbers and write numbers in standard (312,567), expanded form (300,000 + 10,000 + 2,000+ 500 + 60+ 7), written form (three hundred twelve thousand, five hundred sixty-seven), and expanded notation ((3 x 100,000) + (1 x 10,000) + (2 x 1,000) + (5 x 100) + (6 x 10) + (7 x 1). Children also need to know how to compare numbers using < (less than), > (greater than), and = (equal to). Next week we will learn to order numbers from greatest to least or least to greatest and choose numbers that go between a given set of numbers.
